IndiaTex 2013: Vapi gives a warm response to maiden show

download 1The Textile Association (India) organized IndiaTex 2013, a leading textile exhibition in Vapi, Gujarat recently. It was aimed at suppliers, buyers, distributors, manufacturers of fabric and textile producers. The event was an excellent platform for new product launches, development of new markets and networking.

The exhibits covered the entire spectrum of textile industry from fibre, yarn, dyes, chemicals, fabric to garments, embroidery, and branding, testing equipment and fashion. Visitors included well known people from textile production background, trade organizations, financial institutions and marketing experts.

Talking about the event G V Aras, Director, ATE Enterprises, and Chairman IndiaTex said, “This important textile event is scheduled to attract national and global attention. The exhibits cover the entire spectrum of textile industry. IndiaTex 2013 aims to bring technologists and technology service providers under one roof for creating platform for mutual advantage and commercial interaction. This exhibition is a vehicle to put on show the most up-to-date products and services to a specialized and invited visitors, which gave them a chance to make bookings.” 

Vapi, the ideal destination

Vapi was selected as the venue as there is tremendous growth in the industry in and around Vapi area in the last decade. This exhibition attracted a lot of visitors from Vapi, Silvassa and nearby areas as well as from Surat, Umbergaon and Tarapur industrial belt. Vapi had never witnessed this kind of an exhibition before, and Indiatex 2013 opened new doors to the industry by exhibiting latest trends in technology, products and developments et al. 

Haresh Parekh, Exhibition Conveyor, Indiatex, explains, “This is a maiden attempt made by the Mumbai Unit of the Textile Association (India) in diversifying their activities. The TAI, Mumbai Unit selected Vapi as the venue for the event as the association has developed a close relationship with the city in the past few years. Indiatex 2013 is an excellent platform for new product launches, development of new market and business networking.”  

TAI, Mumbai Unit hopes to make this an annual feature. The Textile Association (India) is the largest body of textile professionals in India, striving for the growth of India's single largest industry: textiles. Established 75 years ago, in 1939 with 126 founding members, today the association has more than 22,000 memberships with 27 affiliated units, spread throughout the length and breadth of the country.
