German textile sector to hold seminars in India

The German textile machinery sector will host two conferences in India. First will be organized in Mumbai on December 3 and the other will be held on December 5, 2013, in Coimbatore. These are organized by the German VDMA Textile Machinery Association. Indian textile companies looking for new products, improved quality of fabrics and enhanced competitiveness have the chance to learn more about the latest solutions from 14 well-known German textile machinery and accessories builders. 

Speakers from German companies and institutes will present practice-oriented technology topics related to twisting, knitting, warp-knitting, weaving, finishing and dyeing machinery, textiles testing and measurement and control equipment. Major application areas will cover garments, home textiles as well as industrial applications (technical textiles) for medical, building and the automotive industry, among others.

Other topics are energy and material efficiency, life cycle costs, certification and labeling as well as buyer’s credits. The participating companies in Mumbai and Coimbatore include: Brückner Textile Technologies, Groz-Beckert, Heusch, Hohenstein Textile Testing Institute, Karl Mayer Textilmaschinenfabrik, Welker Spintech, Wumag Texroll. 

VDMA (German Engineering Federation) is the trade association of German mechanical engineering industry. With more than 3,000 members the association represents almost all major manufacturers of machinery, plant and apparatus in Germany.
