The 13th Textrade Fair will be organized in Mumbai from November 26 to 27, 2013. The fair is being organized by the Fabric Suppliers’ Association (FSA). Textrade will display fabrics for summer 2014 for use in the garment industry. These include men’s wear shirting and suiting fabrics like cotton fabrics, linen, polyester- cotton etc. The range covers casuals, formals and party wear. The fair will also display the latest international trends, developments and fashion forecast for 2014. Besides fabrics, some sample garments will also on display to represent the feel and look of the final product.
Among the visitors are garment manufacturers, retailers and fashion designers.
The overall production of fabrics in all sectors (mills, handloom, power loom, hosiery) in India increased by 2,386 million sq. mtr. In FY 13. The production of fabrics in 2012-13 became 62,839 million sq. mtr. whereas the production in 2011-12 was 60,453 million sq. mtr.
FSA holds two Textrade fabric fairs every year in Mumbai. It was formed 10 years ago and is the only association in India representing wholesale fabric suppliers for the entire garment industry of India. FSA has been organizing seminars and workshops for its members and now plans to constitute an arbitration panel for the benefit of members.
